This Month in Haikupedia — October 29, 2023
The Haiku Foundation welcomes you to Haikupedia!
Our spread of new installments kicks off with a number of bios — the long biography of the late American haiku pioneer, Sydell Rosenberg; short bios of Italian poet-scholar Antonio Sacco, British haiku poet Julie Mellor, Canadian writer and haiku poet Roland Packer, and British-American poet, J. Zimmerman. We cap it all off with an article detailing the activities of an early haiku poetry group of California, Los Altos Writers Roundtable.
We welcome your feedback and involvement. If you have suggestions, comments, or note any errors, please contact the editors using the Haikupedia Contact Box. We look forward to reading your reactions to and ideas for this important project!

Thank you Theresa. This months Haikupedia piece on the Los Altos Writers Roundtable held a great deal of interest to me as convenor of a small haiku group in Sydney. I will share the content with them at our next meeting. A friend and I recently presented an introductory workshop on haiku to a local writing group, part of which included a little bit of the history of haiku. Reading your article has added some depth to the information we presented.
Thank you, Carol. It’s wonderful to read that you found this article to be of great interest and use to your haiku group in Sydney. Thanks for sharing a bit of Haikupedia!
