THF Roving Ambassador in Westport Ireland
The Haiku Foundation Roving Ambassador Roberta Beary conducted a haiku workshop September 28 in her new hometown in the west of Ireland. How to Haiku, part of the 42nd Westport Arts Festival, introduced the form to more than a dozen enthusiastic participants. Roberta also talked about THF’s resources for aspiring haiku poets and distributed information about the website.
In addition to the haiku workshop, Roberta curated a joint exhibit, Haiku Quilts, which paired selections from Haiku Ireland’s recent anthology, Stone after Stone, with 16 framed squares created by Westport’s Octagon Quilters. The exhibit, also part of the Westport Arts Festival, is open to the public from September 28 to October 2.

So happy to hear about this Roberta. And ‘Haiku Quilts’ is a hit!
Keep spreading the word.
Thanks Rob. Ireland’s wild west needs your haiku.
