THF Galleries: Photo Haiku of Simone Pansolin

Simone Pansolin

The Haiku Foundation honors the work of contemporary masters of the dual art of haiga: visual image wedded to haiku. This month’s featured artist is Simone Pansolin.

Simone is an Italian artist. Active in both the literary and musical fields, his latest work includes Pixels, with English translations by Jim Kacian (Winchester, VA: Red Moon Press, 2021), and Sonate d’Intavolatura di Leuto, a monographic CD on the valuable work for archlute by Giovanni Zamboni (Da Vinci Classics, Japan, 2021).

Passionate about photography, he equally dedicates himself to the composition of photo haiku, made with his own images and texts. He attempts to bring this form of expression closer to the principles of modern graphic design, combining haiku and image in a cohesive balance of the parts. The photo haiku in this gallery include poems taken from Pixels.
