Ram Chandran Sundararajan
The Haiku Foundation honors the work of contemporary masters of the dual art of haiga: visual image wedded to haiku. This month’s featured artist is Ram Chandran Sundararajan.
Ram Chandran Sundararajan is a Corporate Lawyer by profession and a freelance journalist, and was born and lives in Madurai, India. Madurai is an ancient city, having been referenced as early as 2nd-century BCE. He has been writing English poems since his college days and has written poems and short stories in many elite literary magazines. A haijin since 2014, he has written more than 1200 haiku, senryu and haiga/photo haiku since, which have been published in various haiku journals and Facebook Groups. A lover of nature, his work has a heavy leaning towards nature’s beauty and the ultimate connection of nature and himself in its manifest forms. He is interested in literature and art house cinema, and loves football.
