THF Celebration Fortnight 2023 — Day 14

organizationThe Haiku Foundation thanks its generous patrons from Thanksgiving to St. Nicholas’s Day with special presentations of work accomplished during the past year, and invites everyone to contribute to our continuing success by donating during our Fundraiser.
What Our Users Say: A comment from a regular reader and contributor to Haiku Foundation features: "I dig into The Haiku Foundation website at least once a week — there's always something new. I really appreciate the breadth of information and perspectives THF offers to an increasingly worldwide community of poets!"
THF Fact of the Day: In 2023 The Haiku Foundation celebrated its 15th anniversary of online service to the haiku community. First conceived in 2004 and executed in 2006, THF in its earliest days sought to found a library, archiving the activities of the poets who brought haiku into English in its first century. Shortly after we went online, it became obvious our remit was much larger than our original plans, and we have become truly international in scope. And we feel we have just begun. There is much more to do, and we look forward to identifying these needs and finding ways to create the resources the haiku community needs to remain inspired and engaged. We look forward to working with you all to make THF the very best it can be.
THF Video of the Day:
Simone Pansolin, Simone Fontenella, Andrea Monarda: 3 Haiku Against War
THF Short of the Day:
Debbie Strange: Shadowlight
THF Short of the Day:
David Levy: First Winter Rain
THF Gift Shop Sale: All Items Half Price throughout the THF Fundraiser.
Did You Know? Fewer than a dozen donors have contributed more that three-quarters of our financial resources over the years. In 2023 The Haiku Foundation realized dozens of important achievements for haiku on a budget not even halfway to the poverty line. Imagine what we could do with real resources. You can help us make this come true.
Please consider donating to this year’s THF Fundraiser.
Did You Know 2? The Haiku Foundation audience generated well over a million "events" on the THF site in 2023, making us by far the most used haiku platform in the world. It takes a lot of resources to house and manage so much activity, both in terms of personnel and hardware/software. Do you have a skill you think we might be able to use to promote haiku? Drop us a note to inform us of your interest.
We are currently looking for feature administrators and project managers.
