THF Celebration Fortnight 2017 — Day 2
The Haiku Foundation thanks its generous patrons from Thanksgiving to St. Nicholas’s Day with special presentations of work accomplished during the past year, and invites everyone to contribute to our continuing success by donating during our Fundraiser.
THF Fact of the Day: In 2017 The Haiku Foundation’s day of celebration, International Haiku Poetry Day, inspired a dozen new haiku films, presented during the annual HaikuLife Haiku Films Festival, the only one of its kind; and more than 350 poets took part in the Earthrise Rolling Haiku Collaboration. International Haiku Poetry Day is managed by THF president Jim Kacian.
THF Video of the Day: Kathy Munro reads from Body of Evidence, an anthology of crime ’ku she co-edited with the late Jessica Simon
THF Gift Shop Sale Item of the Day: Shenandoah Valley Note Cards from Rebecca Lilly
Regular Price: $20 Today: $15
A THF Exclusive! You can find it in the THF Gift Shop!
Thanks to Rebecca Lilly and all the artists and poets who have donated their work to The Haiku Foundation!
In 2017 The Haiku Foundation realized dozens of important achievements for haiku on a budget not even halfway to the poverty line. Imagine what we could do with real resources. You can help us make this come true. Please consider donating to this year’s THF Fundraiser.
