The Touchstone Awards for Individual Awards Is Taking Nominations
The Touchstone Awards for Individual Poems is open for nomination. Please consider nominating your own favorite haiku published in 2018, and a favorite by a fellow poet. This is a great way to think about your own haiku writing during the year and consider the genre’s wonderful variety.
You can send your nominations, and learn more about the Awards, here. Good luck!

valentine’s day
staying indoors together, fearing
the corona virus!
sunny day fishing
we share opinions over
a can of worms
sultry afternoon
carrying my sweat to the rain clouds
summer breeze
meeting at infinity
the railway tracks from the station
where we departed
barred window,
silently entering the room …
moonbeams!
Summer xephyr
Tinkling the windchime
And the ice in my drink
deep asleep, awakened by the sound of a distant saxophone, summer night
ancestral shrine
the woman uncombed
turns the prayer wheel
