5. Each of the three opening verses was enjoyable to respond to, and I liked Diana’s and Sandip’s capping verses very much. It’s a pleasure to have my cap to Keith’s fine verse chosen. Keith et al., thank you for your kind words. Lorin, thank you for that link – though it might take some work to get that melody out of my head…

10. Thank you John! Wonderful trying to link with everyone and reading your choices. Lorin, thanks for highlighting banana seat. And Madeleine, so good to have you back! Thanks for guiding me to appreciate ostrich wings. According to Smithsonian National Zoo: Ostriches have large wings, but they do not use them to fly. Instead, they stick out their wings while running, which creates a rudder-like effect and helps the ostrich change direction at high speed. Ostriches also flap and fan their wings to help keep themselves cool in hot weather. Still pondering the relationship to the winter sale! Fun to ponder.

    Congratulations to Wendy and Diana. I learned something, by googling ‘banana seat’. Now that I know, having seeing photos of bicycles, it makes good humorous sense.
