PART 2

There were also many good offers for new starting verses. I’m not going to list the tempting but ultimately not selected verses. Many of them will appear in other publications. Here are the three that are offered for another round of your capping verses:

no shirt no service

As it was last week, you are invited to offer up to three two-line capping verses. They can be three offers for a single starting verse, one for each of the three starters or any combination of three. Please include the starting verse with each of your capping verse offers.

PART 3

Next week will conclude our tan-renga practice with a selection of your capping verses. And we will begin a vert short renku. It will consist of six verses, as follows:

1 (hokku) three lines, summer

2 (wakiku) two lines, autumn moon

3 (daisan) three lines, autumn love

4 two lines, winter love

5 three lines, spring blossom

6 (ageku) spring

So, you are invited to offer up to three summer hokku.

The deadline for submitting your capping verses and hokku will be midnight (eastern US time zone) on Monday, June 1.

Looking forward to your offers!

John
