Survey Says . . . Per Diem, Daily Haiku

Every September the Board of Directors and Associates of The Haiku Foundation are sent a survey. Their responses help to guide our growth and direction. We’d like to broaden our input, and so we’ll be asking you to respond to a series of questions, one per week, over the next half-year. Your replies will be weighed in our assessment of our performance.

Today’s question: Per Diem, Daily Haiku

Per Diem is the daily haiku feature of The Haiku Foundation, the first thing you see on our home page. Inaugurated in 2012, it sourced its poems for its first 3 years through curated collections on specific themes created by guest editors. Beginning in 2015 Per Diem was linked with the World of Haiku feature, and its poems selected from larger collections of poems from the featured country of the month. When World of Haiku has exhausted its source countries, it will return to collections from guest editors once again. All these poems are then added to the growing collection available on THF Haiku, the Haiku App. In addition, the Per Diem Archives gathers all the poems into a single resource .Per Diem is expertly managed by THF Board member Stella Pierides.
