Survey Says . . . International Haiku Poetry Day

Today’s question: International Haiku Poetry Day

International Haiku Poetry Day, April 17, held its first iteration (as National Haiku Poetry Day) in 2012 and was a great success, with gatherings in 17 locations amassing more than a thousand participants. A dozen venues celebrated the 2013—2014 events, with many repeats. In 2015 IHPD was inaugurated, featuring two new projects: the HaikuLife Haiku Film Festival, and the Earthrise Rolling Haiku Collaboration, both of which draw great numbers of participants. Events were held in local communities as well both in the United States and abroad. Information and archives for the event can be found on the website.
