Survey says . . . Per Diem
Every September the Board of Directors and Associates of The Haiku Foundation are sent a survey. Their responses help to guide our growth and direction. We’d like to broaden our input, and so we’ll be asking you to respond to a series of questions, one per week, over the next half-year. Your replies will be weighed in our assessment of our performance.
Today’s question: Per Diem
The Per Diem feature is expertly managed by Stella Pierides. It has been a consistent success for the Foundation. Guest editors throughout 2013 are in place, and we are gradually filling editor slots for 2014. In addition, the Per Diem Archives gathers all the poems so presented in a single resource, which can be found on the website.
Please assess how well The Haiku Foundation is delivering on this topic. Indicate your assessment of our performance to date by choosing one of the options:
Excellent
Good
Fair
Poor
Abandon
Please feel free to add additional comments. Thank you in advance for your consideration, and for helping us make The Haiku Foundation a better resource.

I discovered The Haiku Foundation and the “Per Diem” feature via Twitter. I look forward to receiving your tweets, and I think the calibre of the chosen poems is beyond excellent. Thank you all for your dedication…
Excellent! As good as the Registry yet organized!
Per Diem is an excellent feature, and I commend Stella’s hard work and all those behind it. I’m particularly gratified that each month is being archived as it’s not always possible to have access to read the daily haiku.
warmest regards,
Alan, With Words
Excellent. Per Diem provides the editor of the month a chance to choose a theme that might not be as common. Next, they select and showcase haiku written by others. I hope more people will take advantage of what THF offers.
Excellent. As a relative newcomer to consistent haiku writing I find Stella’s choices a great help in distilling different approaches to crafting a haiku.
Excellent. Thanks to Stella Pierides, all the guest editors and poets, and those working behind the scenes to bring the haiku to us every day. Ellen
