Survey says . . . The THF Haiku App
Every September the Board of Directors and Associates of The Haiku Foundation are sent a survey. Their responses help to guide our growth and direction. We’d like to broaden our input, and so we’ll be asking you to respond to a series of questions, one per week, over the next half-year. Your replies will be weighed in our assessment of our performance.
Today’s question: The THF Haiku App
The THF Haiku app showcases poems that have appeared on the THF website in the Per Diem feature. It has been expanded and updated for iPhone and iPad use. We have been unsuccessful in finding a developer for the Android platform.
Please assess how well The Haiku Foundation is delivering on this topic. Indicate your assessment of our performance to date by choosing one of the options:
Excellent
Good
Fair
Poor
Abandon
Please feel free to add additional comments. Thank you in advance for your consideration, and for helping us make The Haiku Foundation a better resource.

Garry, you can get the app (for free) from the iTunes store. Type “haiku app” in the search window and you’ll find our offering amid a few others.

Where does one go to get the app?
Garry
I would say Fair, but once I get the hang of navigating the app it should be better.
Thanks, Mike, but actually our programmer could not code for Android, and he says it’s not so simple as it might seem. I am no expert so I couldn’t say. This is a topic the Board of Directors of THF addresses regularly, and we are trying to find a coder who will do the job for us. We’ll certainly announce it when we’ve had success. Thanks for your input.
Jim
Fair I guess, but anyone who does apps for Apple can do Android, and since they are larger than Apple you are really missing out on a large audience. I have no Apple products so you are out to lunch with me. Simply Google ‘android app programming’, or go here:
http://developer.android.com/index.html
That should get you started.
