Yoshinobu Hakutani

Yoshinobu Hakutani is Professor of English and University Distinguished Scholar at Kent State University. Among his recent books and editions are Haiku and Modernist Poetics (Palgrave Macmillan, 2009), Art, Music, and Literature 1897-1902 by Theodore Dreiser (University of Illinois Press, 2007), Cross-Cultural Visions in African American Modernism: From Spatial Narrative to Jazz Haiku (Ohio State University Press, 2006), Haiku: This Other World by Richard Wright (Random House, 2000), and Richard Wright and Haiku (University of Missouri Press, 2014).
