Robin Smith has been published widely in the haiku and general literature communities, garnering accolades in several genres. These include a Touchstone Award for Individual Poem (2019), a feature in A New Resonance 12: Emerging Voices in English-Language Haiku (2021), a feature in Modern Haiku’s “Spotlight” (2022), and numerous contest wins and placements.
Robin is Co-editor at Whiptail: Journal of the Single-Line Poem, Coordinator & Panelist at the Trailblazer Contest, and Associate Editor at Yavanika Press.
Prior to serving as President of The Haiku Foundation in 2025, they served as Coordinator for The Haiku Foundation’s Touchstone Award for Individual Poem (2022-2025) and Associate Coordinator for The Haiku Foundation’s Touchstone Awards (2021-2022).
