Clayton (re:Virals editor) lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and children. He studied Japanese language and culture at the University of California, San Diego. His poetry is syncretic, drawing inspiration from both Western and Eastern traditions, and has been published in a wide range of journals including Modern Haiku, Bones, Rattle and NOON: journal of the short poem. When not researching or writing haiku he enjoys gardening, cooking and hiking the Oregon woods.
