Sixth Annual Haiku Foundation Volunteer Appreciation Day
Today marks the sixth official “Haiku Foundation Volunteer Appreciation Day.” THF’s Board of Directors wishes to thank all volunteers past and present for your tireless efforts on behalf of the Foundation. You are the bedrock of this organization. We couldn’t have accomplished our high goals without your participation, consistent work behind the scenes, and unbridled enthusiasm. Over the past year, our volunteer teams have grown, expanded their roles, and delivered the highest quality features and other offerings you’ve come to enjoy. We’re heartened to see even more initiatives beginning to take shape for THF’s future. All of this is possible because of you, so we hope this day we’ve set aside to recognize your contributions conveys our sincerest gratitude.
As in past years, we’re pleased to present a new volunteer anthology as a token of our appreciation. This year, editor Robin Smith along with Managing Editor Shloka Shankar selected “Connection” as the theme of the featured poems from volunteers of the past three years. Shloka’s striking cover art beautifully illustrates a touch of sunrise. You’ll definitely enjoy reading through its pages, learning more about each volunteer along the way. Our thanks also to Jim Kacian, Dave Russo, and Angie Scala for their technical assistance.
Please go to THF’s Volunteer Anthologies page to access this year’s anthology as well as those of past years. Enjoy!
