Raymond Roseliep: Man of Art Who Loved the Rose is The Haiku Foundation’s second publication.
This full-length biography, written by Donna Bauerly, designed and edited by Charles Trumbull, and produced by Red Moon Press, covers the entirety of Roseliep’s varied life as son, scholar, priest and poet. It’s fair to say this is the most comprehensive biography ever written about a haiku poet outside of Japan. It includes detailed analyses of some of Roseliep’s most iconic works, and places them all in the context of his layered life. A must-have for any serious student of English-language haiku.
