Selected Work

morning chill
a blood spot floats
on the egg yolk’s surface

through bulrushes
the swan hisses
into my lens

after the colonoscopy
my rings
looser

Indian summer
the musk of leaves
plucked from the rake

only holes
where my tulips would have been—
strong tea

nursing home courtyard
the shouts of children
on the autumn wind
