Haikurkbride (Jasmin Kirkbride)

Jasmin has been writing haiku for a couple of years, and is a proud member of the British Haiku Society. She shares her poems on social media using the pseudonym @haikurkbride. Having spent five years working in publishing and journalism in London, Jasmin is now a PhD Creative and Critical Writing researcher at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and is a part-time freelance editor.

Shortlisted for the Museum of Haiku Literature Award 2019; Runner Up in the Snapshot Press Haiku Calendar 2021.

on the glass

bootprint rain
your tiny tread
embossed on mine

5pm
we slump in unison
on the rock-a-bye bus

a time before
i knew about death
