Selected Work

The deer sniffs, seeking
Me, perplexed. Invisible,
I am like a ghost.

The octopus flashed
Calm blue and brown, teasing me
Like a fan dancer.

The storm is brewing
Darkly in the western sky.
Now, time to be brave.

Pulse pounding, sweating,
I dig in my pocket for
The engagement ring.

The ripe tomato
Willingly twists off the vine
Mother's burden gone

The ruffian wind
Elbows through dogwoods leaving
Drifts of white petals
