Susan Delphine Delaney MD, MS is a Psychiatrist living and practicing in Plano, TX. Her therapy dog, Gabriella, assists. Susan began writing haiku in 1968 when a friend gave her a haiku book with the poems of Basho and Issa. She undertook the serious pursuit of the form in 1991. Susan is passionate about writing nature haiku, senryu, and renga. She writes the occasional haibun or tanka. Susan was the Founding Vice President of the Fort Worth Haiku Society and later founded Haiku Poets of North Texas.
