Nora Wood grew up near the Tetons in Wyoming. She is a writer and poet living in Atlanta, Georgia with her two daughters. She took up haiku-writing in 2007 as a discipline and creative outlet. Nora's poems have been published The Heron's Nest, Frogpond, Simply Haiku, Magnapoets, contemporary haibun online, and others.

Awards and Other Honors: Nora's work was selected to appear in where the wind turns: The Red Moon Anthology of English-Language Haiku 2009 (Red Moon Press, 2010), and Contemporary Haibun Vol. 11 (Red Moon Press, 2010). Other awards and honors include: First Runner-up, The Heron’s Nest 2009 Reader’s Choice Poet of the Year; Runner-up, The Haiku Calendar Competition 2010, to appear in The Haiku Calendar 2011 (Snapshot Press, 2010); Runner-up, Contemporary Haiku Category, HaikuNow! 2010 (The Haiku Foundation).
