Poems that speak to what people are going through
“Does anybody else have poems that might speak to what people are going through now? Poems about darkness, poems about heavy winds, poems about flooding or freezing?”
That is how I started this month’s column for the Haiku Society of America. The column came from comments people posted in response to a recent Troutswirl blog post, like this one from Kathe L. Palka.

It’s been quite a year. Happy Thanksgiving everyone… we’re survivors. 🙂
Your column was beautiful…as we learn to be present in the juxtapositions in life.
