  2. Wonderful – and the prose of poets and authors who read poetry has a special quality. I’m reading SEA GLASS New & Selected Poems by Luci Shaw (WordFarm, 2016; Seattle, Washington). I also enjoy her memoirs. Longer poems, rich language.

    It has a serious note, too. Our Art is so deceptive. A rough quote by Winston Churchill: [To Parliament] “I was going to prepare a short speech today, but I didn’t have the time.”

    1. Hi Paul, I love that quote. It’s so true being brief is harder than it looks. I’m reminded of this when I write dialogue for the comics. It’s something hard to fit the dialogue in the speech bubble. I have to edit a lot. Thanks for reading. Jessica
