New at the Site Archive: Haibun Today
We’re pleased to announce the addition of Haibun Today to our archive of important websites dedicated to haiku and related arts.
Founded by Jeffrey Woodward in 2007, Haibun Today published some of the best haibun and tanka prose between 2007 and 2019, when it ceased publication. Rich Youmans, Editor in Chief of contemporary haibun online, writes: “[Haibun Today] published not only some of the best haibun and tanka prose of the period, but also assembled a wealth of educational resources — essays, commentaries, interviews, and reviews.”
Thanks to the efforts of Jeffery, Rich, Ray Rasmussen, and others, the Haibun Today archive will be available from our Archive of Other Sites page, which can be accessed from the Explore menu.

Familiar with Tanka but still new to
Haibun but have read some to appreciate it
