Librarian’s Cache: Wild Plum – Journal of the Month, October 2021
Wild Plum was edited by Gabriel Sawicki from 2015 to 2017 and below are sample haiku from a 2017 issue. From tinywords, we learn that Gabriel lives and works in Wroclaw, Poland. He is a robotics engineer and started to write haiku in 2005.
more bruise
than banana
autumn deepens
rereading
your last letter . . .
cicadas
quiet rain a shawl of mist wraps the ranges
a clothespin
forgotten on the line
winter rain
Be sure to check out all 6 issues of Wild Plum on the Digital Library.

Thanks Dan. I like the variety of weekly items from the library, very much, and appreciate your curation.
Gracias amigo!
Yes, the sorely missed Wild Plum. The magazine also featured haiga. Gabriel also put out the ‘falling star’ anthology in 2016 featuring selections from the year’s publications and the Wild Plum haiku competition.
Thank you for sharing, Dan! So happy to have one haiku of mine in the 1:2 (Fall & Winter) 2015 issue .
Best Wishes,
Marta Chocilowska
Congrats Marta!
