Love this one. It must have been a real scene that Jo noticed—you can’t make that stuff up!
A lovely verse, suggesting High Summer to me, as the practice of more and more bowls of water for dogs started in numbers maybe 6-10 years ago around the South West of England? Too many dogs have to be kept outside to fry in the sun. Thankfully one of my favorite cafes pre-pandemic, was dog friendly! 🙂
I hope there was also some shade, even from the entrance way?
