We see gold as something valuable to be sought after and treasured. On the other hand, autumn leaves we may see as commonplace and of no lasting value, even though they may be golden too. Nobody trades gold for them, yet leaves of such beauty are almost certainly rarer than the sought-after precious metal in a universe of incandescent suns and dead planets. And very likely, unique. Be thankful for such riches on Earth!
