HOD Theme for the Month of October 2025: Autumn
Autumn, generally, represents transition. It is the season of leaves falling, All Hallow’s Eve, cozy jumpers, and hot beverages. For some, it stands for life, death, and renewal; while others think of it as a season to let go. Autumn has always been my favourite season for as far as I can remember. Unfortunately, we do not experience the full effect of autumn where I live. It is the season of ‘Kojagiri Paurnima,’ the brightest full moon of the year. This day is considered sacred in India and many communities celebrate the full moon with masala milk and sweets. In this selection, I have tried to include the many shades, hues, and tints of autumn.
