Haiku Tribute Challenge May 10
For May’s Per Diem feature on The Haiku Foundation website Carlos Colón has selected poems written as tributes to fellow haiku poets, but without indicating who the recipient of the tribute is. We challenge you to identify the poet being honored today, May 10. Read the Per Diem poem, then send us the name of who you think is the honoree in the comment box below. All recipients, and identifiers, will be revealed at the end of the month. Good luck!

Hi, Folks. Sandra’s right, it is Cyril, and I had the good fortune to hike the Snout with him nearly 15 years ago. Thanks to Patricia for reviving such good memories.
I did some research and found there’s a Black Snout Mountain in New Hampshire. That doesn’t help me, but it may help someone else.
Cyril Childs, maybe. He loved tramping (hiking) and there is a South Island track called the Snout.
