Haiku of Day Theme November 2026: Haiku About Thresholds

Thresholds often reveal themselves only in retrospect. What feels like an ordinary moment may later become the point where everything changed. A gate, a shoreline, a doorstep, a bird taking flight-such images remind us that we are always closer to transition than we realize.

Haiku trusts these moments. Rather than announcing transformation, it lets it emerge through the particular. In these poems, thresholds appear in landscapes and seasons, in memory and loss, in departures and arrivals, and in the quiet acts of becoming that shape our lives.

Each poem invites us to pause at an edge-not with the certainty of an ending, but with the possibility that the crossing has already begun.

The Haiku of the Day feature displays a new haiku each day at the top of our home page. See also our Haiku of the Day Archive.
