Haiku Music Challenge 80

Welcome to the eightieth iteration of the Haiku Music Challenge, hosted by Naviar Records.

This beautiful haiku was written by Scott, a long-time supporter of Naviar and one of our Bandcamp supporters:

snowflakes gently fall

cold winter’s pale sakura
I envy the birds

Fifteen tracks were inspired by Scott’s haiku, and here’s my selection for The Haiku Foundation:

Track: Sakura snowflake
Artist: Douglas James’s DarkWaterBlue
Genre: classical

After a short break, DarkWaterBlue joined the Haiku Challenge last week with a classical, minimal composition.

Track: Pale Sakura
Artist: Kyosuke Osaku
Genre: ambient

Here’s an ethereal and immersive ambient soundscape created by Toronto based artist Kyosuke Osaku.

Track: snowflakes
Artist: Rosmarino Baia
Genre: ambient

A simple, mesmerizing piano piece by a new member of our community, Rosmarino Baia.

Thank you for listening. Next week we’ll be listening to music inspired by haiku of Tan Taigi:

rain rituals
in the light of torches –
mountain peaks at night

The deadline to submit your track is 14 April. To find out more and participate, please visit the Naviar Records site.
