Haiku Music Challenge 36
Welcome to the thirty-sixth iteration of the Haiku Music Challenge, hosted by Naviar Records.
Autumn has finally arrived here in Italy as well, so last week I opted for this Fall-themed haiku by Basho. My understanding is that this poem has become a well-known Japanese proverb, meaning “It is better to leave many things unsaid”.
Whenever I speak
My lips are
chilled — Autumn wind.
Fifteen tracks were made in response to this poem, and I selected these three for you:
Track: Autumn Wind
Artist: OneAmbient4
Genre: electronic
Track: Zuhé & Marco Lucchi — Kuchibiru
Artist: MusicheVirtuali
Genre: ambient
Track: whenever I speak
Artist: Tunnelwater
Genre: instrumental
Thank you for listening. Next week we’ll be listening to music inspired by a haiku by Santoka:
reflection
in the water
a traveler
The deadline to submit your track is 6 November. To find out more and participate, please visit the Naviar Records site.
