2017 World Tanka Competition Open!

For our tanka poetry writers, Lyrical Passion Poetry E-Zine is proud to announce the launch of their 2017 World Tanka Competition!

GUIDELINES: Only previously unpublished high quality tanka poems not submitted for publication or to any other contest, will be accepted. The appearance of poems in online discussion lists, Twitter, Facebook or personal websites will be considered as previous publication and will not qualify. Please type "World Tanka" in subject line of your email to avoid deletion.

Theme: All poems related to either "Sunrise / Sunset". Poems do not have to include both. We are not accepting haiku sequences for this competition. Enter by email only. Please type poems in the body of your email. (Please no email attachments or postal submissions will be accepted). All attachments to email will be deleted.

Contest opens: November 15, 2017 and closes January 15, 2018. 

Entries must be emailed no later than the deadline: January 15, 2018 at 11:59 EST to qualify. International submissions are always welcome. Entries received after the deadline will not be accepted. Winners and Honorable Mentions will be posted on website. All rights revert to the authors after publication.

Entry Fee: $3.00 US/ each tanka poem or the discount price of $10.00 US/ each set of 5 poems.

**Example: If entering 2 tanka poems, type a total of $6 in the PayPal "price per item" field. If entering  6 tanka poems, please type $13 into the "price per item" field. If entering 10 poems, type $20 in the field. etc.

Only online & PayPal payments will be accepted using the link at the website.
