Hi everyone,

Paul MacNeil, Associate Editor of The Heron's Nest, asked me to post the following announcement:

The annual printed version of The Heron's Nest is NOW SHIPPING!  The issue contains the color artwork of the annual contest, the results of the Readers' Choice Awards, and a large selection of specially commended haiku.  This group of winners, runners-up, and those commended is in itself a selection of some of the finest haiku in our language.

The book has all the on-line issues of 2010, the four Commentary essays, reader comments,  as well as an extended Memorial Section for Peggy Willis Lyles.

Since 1999, The Heron's Nest has been published in print AND electronically.  Starting with Volume 8 (2006), we have issued one print volume, a large book, annually.  Most past books are still available for sale as well.  Of course, the more than 6,000 haiku published by The Nest are at the website, for free, archived by year, by issue, and by poet.  So far, every issue has been on schedule -- a good record, but not an easy one.

Thank you, the Staff of seven volunteers for The Heron's Nest.

John McManus

Thanks for posting this Billie. Hopefully I can scrape the cash together for a copy. I just can't believe one of my poems will be in it!

All you guys over at THN are always so helpful and excellent at what you do.

Regards,
John
