Anybody heard anything from the new editor of this senryu journal?  I'm starting to fear it's gone under.

Hi Stewart,

On the website Curtis promises that the issue will appear this month - and there is still time ...

Cheers,

Thanks, Sandra.   :)

I did see that announcement, but given that I'd queried him a few weeks before he posted it and still haven't heard anything, I'm not optimistic.

I exchanged emails with Curtis a couple of weeks ago. He's putting together the January issue, and was confident it would indeed be published, and that PJ will continue.

Further replies, confirmations etc... I've heard have gone out in the last few hours.

We must remember that this is an unpaid post, and that if family, health or work pressures come to the fore, more than usual, that those priorities have to come first.

Once the January issue arrives under Curtis's editorship, I'm sure future issues will be fine.  It's only the 23rd in my timezone, around 9am, plenty of time for everything to fall into place.

Thanks, Alan and SM.

Non-editorial is definitely a priority for something like this.  Glad to know it seems to be coming together, in any case--always painful to watch markets go silent and fold.

There has been an announcement go out to the effect that Terri L French is taking over as editor from Issue 10 (due out July).

The details are posted on the website: http://prunejuice.wordpress.com/

I received a nicely-worded form rejection from Terri today on a batch of senryu I sent in about a week and a half ago, so she seems to have gotten the magazine firmly back on track.  :)

Changes to Submissions page
Posted on June 1, 2013

Hi guys, remember when I asked you to bear with me?  Bruce and I have decided that four issues might be too many for us to handle, so we have decided to go with three issues a year, published in March, July and November.

Also, you no longer have to send separate emails for senyru/kyoka, haiga and haibun, but should send them all in one email.  I thought the separate emails would make it easier for me to organize, turns out that wasn't so.

Thanks for your patience.  The July issue is on schedule and looking good!
