Katikati Haiku Contest

Hello all,

The biennial Katikati Haiku Contest is now open for entries - closes May 16. All proceeds from the contest go towards the Haiku Pathway project, the largest collection of haiku "stones" outside Japan.

Hello all,

Thought I would share the results of the Katikati Haiku Contest with you. The senior section was judged by Owen Bullock.

First place went to Lorin Ford (Australia), followed by Joanne Watcyn-Jones (Australia, 2nd) with Earl R Keener (US) and John Barlow (UK) 3rd equal.

Highly Commended were Earl R Keener, Seren Fargo, Cynthia Rowe and John Barlow. Commended were Jan Dobb, Cynthia Rowe, Pris Campbell and John Barlow. Special Mentions: Genie Joiner, Ernest J Berry and Barbara Strang. The Best Local Haiku award was given to Gaye Hemsley.
