We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the authors who trusted us with their poems and to our judges, Marta Chociłowska Iliyana Stoyanova, Frank Williams, Vessislava Savova, Gergana Yaninska, and Iliyana Deleva for their time and work!

This year we received 208 haiku in the Bulgarian section and 420 haiku in the English- language section - from Algeria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Ireland, Israel, Malaysia, Montenegro, Nepal, New Zealand, Netherlands, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Northern Ireland, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkey, UK, and USA.

Submission Guidelines:

Theme:  HOPE

Rules:
The contest is open to everyone but the members of the Jury, the contest coordinator, and their relatives.
The submitted haiku must be original work of the author, unpublished (online or in a printed edition) and not shared on any social media (including closed/private groups).
Poets may submit in English or in Bulgarian.

Number of haiku:
Each poet may submit no more than 2 haiku.

Submission period:
January 1, 2021 – February 15, 2021
