I hope many of you have joined the UHTS, which is free, and received the newsletter! :-)
There are great commentaries from the judges, and my President's Report which includes a special piece about the 'impulsiveness of the line' in tanka, which is as applicable to haiku.

My name is thankfully spelt correctly in the newsletter but sadly is misspelt in this post and others.

It's really important to get names correctly spelt, and it's a horrible feeling when our names are posted incorrectly.

I hope this case reminds us all to get everyone's name right. I'm been guilty in the past which horrifies me, so fingers crossed, no more mistakes from any of us! :-)

warm regards,

Alan SUMMERS
President, United Haiku and Tanka Society
