Ribbons seeks fresh material of the highest standard to present to our readers. Any tanka with a sensibility that distinguishes the form will be considered. Therefore, we welcome different syllable counts, varying individual styles and techniques, and are open to diverse yet appropriate subject material. We also welcome essays that offer fresh insights and information.

Submission Deadlines
Ribbons submission deadlines are in-hand no later than the following dates:

April 30: Spring/Summer Issue
August 31: Fall Issue
December 31: Winter Issue

The entry fee for the Snapshot Press Book Awards is £20 or US $30.

£400/US $600 total prize money.

12 haiku will be selected as monthly winners and will be published prominently in The Haiku Calendar 2023. The prize money will be divided equally between the 12 winners. 40 additional haiku will be selected as runners-up and these will also be published in the calendar.

Entrants may win more than one prize.

The entry fees for The Haiku Calendar Competition are:

£10/US $15 for up to 4 haiku;

£20/US $30 for up to 12 haiku.
