HAIGA/Photo haiku/ – Submission Guidelines
Theme: No theme.
Entry: Open to anyone.
Fee: No fee.
Haiga: One unpublished haiga.

As the photograph and haiku share the same space, they are meant to complement, and not explain, one another. In his article, "A Brush With Poetry," Susumu Takiguchi, the founder of World Haiku Club, writes: "If the painting and haiku are [the same], it would mean that one has been added because the other is not adequate. It is not only superfluous, but could also be interpreted as rude".

Photo should be submitted in jpg format, longer side not to be smaller than 4000pcx. Submissions smaller than 4000pcx will not be taken into consideration as the selected haiga will be printed on minimum A3 size for possible exhibition purposes.
Files should not to be bigger than 15mb.
Write haiku in the body of the e-mail.
Haiku, watermarks and name of author/authors should not be embedded in the photo.

Style: Photo haiku.
Photo Haiku is a new visual and literary art form that combines photography and haiku.
