New to Haiku: Free Discussion Area / tanka
June 19, 2014, 06:11:54 AM
Is is possible to have a forum for tanka, which at present is in the haiku section? I have never tried to write tanka before, but find them quite beautiful.I am enjoying reading those posted in haiku, but feel underqualified to comment at present, so I feel that if they were in a tanka forum, I could study them at leisure.

New to Haiku: Free Discussion Area / haiga

Is it possible to have an informal haiga forum, perhaps with people suggesting images to reply to as Don did some time ago and/or a forum to write finished haiga?

In-Depth Haiku: Free Discussion Area / authorial comment
September 25, 2011, 04:04:21 AM
I don't understand the frowning on authorial comment when I read many haiku employing this method. Here are just two examples I have read, published online. Can anyone comment on this, please?

I have just read Kat's haiku in 'Movies' and she mentioned NaHaiWriMo, which sounds very interesting. Where can I find that link, please?

New to Haiku: Free Discussion Area / kigo?
February 24, 2011, 08:49:40 AM
Further to Josie's question

Are all haiku better if they have a kigo?   I am still in a little fog about this one. Could guttering candle be considered a kigo because it indicates night time?
