2010 Kanterman Book Award Winners

The Haiku Society of America has announced the 2010 winners of the Kanterman Awards for books published in 2009. Seattle haiku poet and newspaper publisher Mike Dillon served as judge. The results are as follows. The judge's complete comments and book ordering details will appear in Frogpond.

First Place ($500)

Second Place ($100)

Third Place ($50)

I'm particularly pleased that John Stevenson's collection won first prize.  A while back I posted a review of this book on the Haiku Foundation.  As I can't locate it at present, it just so happens to be in the current issue of haijinx: http://www.haijinx.org/IV-1/reviews/liveagain.html
