Can anyone tell me the name of the poet and/or where the forever stamp/sympathy card haiku was published?
Thanks,
Mary
Hello Mary:
Acorn #25 (2010)
steady downpour
a Forever stamp
on the condolence card
--Billie Wilson
Hope this helps,
Al
Thanks, Al.
I found out a few hours ago that my uncle died. Couldn't shake this poem from my mind.
And I now understand in a completely different way
I chucked the urn too
Thank you for your swift reply.
Mary
Mary: Condolences to your uncle who probably had an influence in your life. Never an easy moment--this leaving the earth. But we all must journey elswhere someday--and hope your uncle's transition is a pleasant one. Certainly your remembrance and prayers on his behalf greatly help.
My love & blessings!
Al
Sorry to hear about your loss Mary. My honourary mum died a few weeks ago, aged 99 years, but still miss her.
This was something I wrote shortly after my father's funeral:
the rain
almost a friend
this funeral

I'm pleased to know this has helped a few people face loss.
It's been published and republished quite a lot:
