Note Regarding Biographies: We have re-envisioned how biographies are handled on Drifting Sands. Now, as your bio changes, it changes everywhere the new system uses it (all issues going forward). It's also not limited to a paragraph or two, or just one image. Each poet in the directory has a dedicated page that they can expound on. These pages are exactly like the pages offered on the Poet's Hub and will eventually fully replace that functionality, providing a landing page for every poet in our community. As such, these pages are like miniature websites that offer the ability to post images, text, links to a variety of resources, and even the ability to do things like embed a YouTube video if you have a poetry related project you want to share. Drifting Sands is all about the haibun and tanka prose communities. These pages represent the many faces that make up that community. We're very excited about this new approach in that it both streamlines our workload and provides better exposure for our poets. We hope you'll take full advantage of what this feature offers as you become familiar with it. You can look up your existing bio page here: DSH Contributors A-Z.
