Yes, 'jumble' works well in this context as the boy is jumbled up (as many teenagers can be) and thus other terms wouldn't carry that parallel suggestion.
Thanks for enjoying the reading and how I presented my comments about each haiku. The book was certainly a labour of love between all three editors!
