Hi Gael,

The haiku train seems locked except for admins and moderators.  You didn't press anything you shouldn't have? ;-)

Thanks to our super hero, Dave, we are now unlocked!  I didn't know this feature was even there.  I followed his very precise directions to unlock this topic again.

Helo, Gael and other haiku train passengers,

It might be useful to put the previous two.  I suggest that because it's what's being done in the renga I'm participating in, and it does give a little bit more of what's gone before, so the additions don't have the same imagery too close together.

Hello folks,

Please keep in mind that the "last" word of the prior poem is the first word of the next.  That's how the little train works.  So, Adelaide's poem should begin with "blue" instead of "open".  I hope this helps keep us on track.

Thanks for playing!

all the best,

Don

Sorry Don.  I didn't know that it had to be the last word.  I thought it was any word in the last line.  I guess my other contributions were not correct, either.

I'll try another one:

Dear "Snow Leopard,"

Sorry, but all the verses, for this particular exercise, spring out from the last word, so you'll need to start your first line with Thursday.

Look forward to your revised or new verse. :-)

My mistake too. I thought the next person could use both words "Ascension Thursday." It's a bit of a stretch to start only with Thursday :)) (at least for me). Sorry!

My apologies, Alan. I misunderstood the rules of this Haiku Train. I wrongly assumed that Thursday was a cue for a weekday reference not specifically Thursday itself  :-[

Vida - very thoughtful of you to change your final line to day.  :)

I will try again.

Hi Adelaide,

They are not edited, or selected by an editor, but they are visible to unregistered viewers. Some magazine editors may not choose to accept them as they can be seen by people.

There are editors who don't have issues with haiku that can be seen by people before publication.

Please continue the journey format of including four poems in each post: three prior and the new addition. This makes it much easier to follow the sequence with a new poem (without hunting down the prior posts on prior pages)  :)

Thank you.

Tracy and Nicole. Please revise your posts to include the three prior poems - four total including yours. Thank you.
