Coming Soon: New THF Feature Haiku for Parkinson’s (H4P)

 

A new feature coming soon! Haiku for Parkinson’s (H4P): introducing haiku to those of us living with Parkinson’s Disease (PD), as well as introducing PD to those ‘living with haiku.’

Using the transformative lens of haiku, we explore the experience of living with PD, aiming to help negotiate the challenges of this condition and improve quality of life.

Stella Pierides

Stella Pierides is a writer, poet, and artist. Her books include "Of This World" (2017) and "In the Garden of Absence" (2012), both HSA Merit Book Award recipients. She was Featured Writer on Contemporary Haibun Online, 20.2 2024. Her article “Parkinson’s Toolbox: The Case for Haiku” appeared in Juxtapositions: A Journal of Research and Scholarship in Haiku, issue 8, 2022. Her work for The Haiku Foundation includes managing Per Diem: Daily Haiku/World of Haiku (2012-2018), serving as founding managing editor for Haikupedia (2019-2020), conceiving and coordinating the year-long feature Haiku for Parkinson’s (2024), and serving on the Board of Directors (2014-2024).
