Book of the Week: gaining amber

lecountcover1David LeCount’s gaining amber (Brussels Sprout Press, 1981) is subtitled “Love Poems for Arla” which should indicate its main preoccupation. At the same time we get a feel for a poet coming to terms with the genre in a personal way, seeking and achieving voice, no easy thing to do in such a short compass.

You can read the entire book in the THF Digital Library.

Do you have a chapbook published 2010 or earlier you would like featured as a Book of the Week? Contact us for details.

Haiku featured in the Book of the Week Archive are selected by THF president THF president Jim Kacian, and are used with permission.
